Golfing Initiatives ![]() Club Golf The Club is now heavily involved in the national Club Golf Initiative and 4 members have already achieved initial coaching status. The initiative aims to give all 9 year old children the chance to play golf and aside from the sporting benefits will hopefully encourage them to join us. Updates and any relevant information will be posted here during the season
Hollandbush Clubgolf Visit to Turnberry A very special visit to the Open Golf Championship at Turnberry on Exclusive interviews with England's Paul Casey and Denmark’s Soren Hansen Two of the children, Annie Bryson aged 12 and Graham Watson aged 9, both from Lesmahagow, were asked to be reporters for Whilst the two roving reporters were busy interviewing the stars the rest of the group were watching and talking to other players on the course who were signing autographs. They returned home exhilarated and exhausted, but determined to put into practice what they learned from the professionals. A very big and special thanks to the clubgolf coaches, Martha Donnelly, Alison Johnston, Maggie Archibald, Billy Fulton, Jo Yates and Rob Jones who organised this event. If anyone would like anymore information on the Golf foundation or clubgolf at Hollandbush please log onto the following sites: Course of 6 classes for ladies who may be interested in trying out golf are at present being held. |
